Cisco has just announced a new data sharing service called openVuln API. The new service will provide a data feed of up-to-date vulnerability information, which will allow partners and customers to perform automated vulnerability assessments of their environments. The openVuln API is free to customers and partners and utilizes industry standards such as OVAL and CVRF.  More information, including an introductory video, can be found on Cisco’s PSIRT blog.
